The History
The first annual Service Above Self Award of the Rotary Club of Epping was made in its Golden Jubilee Year of 1986. This award is presented to someone who lives, comes from, or has very strong connections with the Epping area which includes Epping Town, Theydon Bois, Epping Green, Thornwood and North Weald.
The award is for particular services to humanity and is in the form of a trophy, which will be held for one year, to be presented at a special meeting of the Club on 25th June 2024. The winner will also be presented with an inscribed commemorative piece of glassware as a personal gift.
Make your nominations
The Rotary Club of Epping is now seeking nominations for its 2024 award. It could be a neighbour who has always given a helping hand over a long period of time, or a single individual act or possibly help of a special nature.
As Rotary International is a non-political and non-sectarian organisation the only types of service excluded from the award are those of a political or religious nature.
To nominate someone, download the form below, fill it out and email it to [email protected].
Nominations should be made in writing before the 24th May 2024, giving details of the nominee(s) and the reason for the nomination(s). Nominations made in previous years, and which did not result in an award, may be re-submitted this year.
