Friday 23rd February is World Rotary Day 2024, and we are celebrating 119 years of Rotary, an institution of individuals united throughout the world to provide humanitarian assistance, transforming peoples lives and bringing people together to make a difference to our communities.
Rotary is working with the World Health organization to eradicate Polio. Thousands of purple crocuses have been planted by Epping Rotary throughout the Town as a symbol of Rotary’s efforts to end polio.
23rd February is a day of celebration for Rotary but it also marks two years of war in Ukraine. Epping Rotary provides support to Ukraine and other disasters through donations to Shelter Box, one of our global partners that provide emergency shelter and other items to families who have lost their homes.
Epping Rotary members are focused on making a difference, by working with charitable organisations to create Hope in the World and serving their community by supporting local charities and organisations such as St. Clare’s Hospice, Age Concern and St. John’s School to name but a few.
If you would like to know more about Rotary and how you can be involved either as a member or as a Friend of Rotary, please get in touch.
